Qualifying times at the three US races

Qualifying sets the grid. At the two daytime US races it ran on Saturday afternoon, and in Las Vegas it runs on Friday night. Miami also had a Sprint: it was one of the six 2026 Sprint weekends, with Sprint Qualifying on Friday and the Sprint on Saturday before Grand Prix qualifying.

Race by race

What each US race looks like for fans

Round 4: Miami Grand Prix, May 3. The first US race of 2026 was a Sprint weekend at the Miami International Autodrome. The race started at 4 PM Eastern on Sunday, which put it in the late afternoon on the East Coast and early afternoon out West. With the Sprint at noon Eastern on Saturday and Sprint Qualifying on Friday afternoon, it gave US fans competitive sessions on all three days. If you follow the sport from South Florida, our Miami F1 guide lists places that show races all season.

Round 18: United States Grand Prix, October 25. Circuit of the Americas in Austin hosted the second US round on a standard weekend. The race started at 3 PM local time in Austin (4 PM Eastern, 1 PM Pacific), with qualifying on Saturday at 4 PM Central. It came one week before the Mexico City Grand Prix, so late October gave fans two North American races on back-to-back weekends. Fans in Texas can find watch spots in our Austin F1 guide.

Round 21: Las Vegas Grand Prix, November 21. The last US race of 2026 runs at night on the Las Vegas Strip, and it moves the whole weekend a day earlier. Practice is on Thursday night, qualifying on Friday night and the race on Saturday night. Lights out is 8 PM Pacific, prime time on the West Coast, and 11 PM Eastern, so East Coast fans will be up past midnight for the finish. Our Las Vegas Grand Prix guide has every session time, including the UK times for friends watching from abroad.

North America

The other North American rounds

Searching for F1 races near the US rather than strictly in it? The 2026 calendar has two more rounds in North America, which brings the continent's total to five.

Canada followed Miami three weeks later, and both were Sprint weekends. Mexico City followed Austin one week later, on the day US clocks went back to standard time.

Plan ahead

How to catch the last US race of 2026

1. Put Saturday, November 21 in your calendar. Las Vegas is the one race of the season that is not on a Sunday in the US. Use the first table above and pick your time zone. Qualifying is the night before at the same clock time.

2. Test streaming during Thursday practice. In the US every session is on Apple TV, and practice is available without a subscription. Thursday night practice is a good time to check the app, your sign-in and your picture before qualifying and the race.

3. Plan for a late finish in the East. An 11 PM Eastern start means the checkered flag comes after midnight. If you are watching at a bar, ask how late it stays open on Saturday and whether it will keep the sound on to the flag.

4. Pick your crowd. Prime-time timing makes Las Vegas the easiest race of the year to watch with friends on the West Coast. Whatever you choose for a public venue, confirm with the venue that it is showing the race, its opening hours, sound and any reservation or ticket requirements.

After Las Vegas, the season finishes outside the Americas in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. There is no 2027 calendar in our schedule data yet, so WatchF1 will add next season's US dates once they are published in the same official source.
